The aim of the Silk Road Think Tank is to assist in building a society of citizens armed with scientific and factual information on the importance of free society and free market economy. Having made a logical analysis on the decisions or resolutions passed by the state, the think tank conducts necessary surveys for policy and decision makers and helps them make rational decisions based on the survey results. The think tank is a policy research institute independent from political parties and business interest groups.

The institute conducted studies on Demographic outlook of Mongolia by 2030, Internet regulatory environment, and Competitive environment in the banking system. The Silk Road Think Tank aims to be a leading policy research institute in Mongolia to protect freedom of economy and guide state policy. The think tank bears duty to thoroughly study the factors, for complex analysis, that might have negative or positive effects on economy, free market and individual freedom.  It also supports the state to develop strategic trend in its policy, and provide parliament, government or other related subjects with information, proposals or advice with a scientific approach.  Furthermore, it will supply free citizens with rational thinking educated in free society. The Think Tank is ready to collaborate with the volunteers majoring in economy and society in conducting further studies.
